Shamacid heads this Class 6 contest on ratings, sitting six pounds ahead of Book Of Life and a few pounds clear of the clutch of rivals beneath, though the low confidence here reflects how these all-weather mile trips at Wolverhampton can throw up surprises in a competitive twelve-runner field. Book Of Life represents the most obvious threat given a rating only six pounds adrift, while Cy Twombly and Claytons Kolatonic, both rated 62, cannot be dismissed lightly if they reproduce their better efforts on the all-weather surface. The selection holds the form edge on the figures available, and on balance that slim but genuine advantage is enough to side with Shamacid.
