Big Gossey heads this eighteen-runner field at the Curragh on good ground over a mile, rated narrowly ahead of Hardy Warrior and a solid twelve pounds clear of the fourth-rated Ribee, which underlines the strength of his claims at the top of the order. Hardy Warrior and Rahmi will press him hardest, and in an open contest of this size on good ground anything can happen, so the selection carries some risk. That said, the form case points firmly in one direction, and Big Gossey is the call.
