Reverend Hubert is narrowly behind the top-rated Rocky's Diamond on these assessments but is preferred on the strength of a progressive profile that suggests further improvement is forthcoming, and crucially he has already shown he handles good-to-firm ground over this extended trip at Down Royal. Rocky's Diamond cannot be dismissed lightly and represents the most obvious threat, while Thecompanysergeant and Samui will also need to be kept onside given their solid ratings in a competitive nine-runner field. The rest look held on current form and the selection's combination of upward trajectory and course-and-conditions suitability makes a compelling case. Reverend Hubert is our selection.
