Shanroe heads this fifteen-runner field at Navan over sixteen furlongs on good ground, rated eleven pounds clear of Littlefoot and a further two pounds clear of Amanha, with Bells Grove also in the mix as the most significant dangers in what looks a competitive staying contest. The selection's rating edge is slim rather than commanding, and on a good surface over this marathon trip, the closeness of the form between the leading quartet means any of those three rivals could conceivably turn the tables. That said, Shanroe's overall profile gives the clearest case for a winning performance, and the hope is that class tells over the extended distance. Shanroe is the selection.
