Java Wood arrives at Gowran Park on a progressive profile that suggests there is more to come from this one over ten furlongs on good-to-soft ground, and a fitness edge over some rivals makes the case here compelling despite sitting five pounds behind the top-rated Hassaniya on our figures. Hassaniya leads the field on ratings and cannot be dismissed, while Maeve Brennan and Cosmic Funk also enter calculations in what shapes as a competitive sixteen-runner heat. Java Wood is taken to reward each-way support and justify the preference over the top-rated on the day.
