RACING POST VERDICT
Down Around looks the call in this nine-runner staying contest at Sligo, and he gets the nod over Affinity Rock thanks to a progressive profile and a proven record on good ground. He sits only 3 lb behind the top-rated runner on our figures, a gap that a progressing horse can readily overturn over 26 furlongs. Affinity Rock is the chief danger as the narrowly higher-rated rival, while Mags Nelson and Only For Our Man, both a couple of pounds behind our pick, are bunched close enough to make this competitive. Down Around is the selection.
