A La Noche is our selection here, and his progressive profile is the reason to side with him over the top-rated Eupator, who is only five pounds ahead on our figures. A rating of 79 puts him third in the pecking order, and an improving type can close that gap at Kempton over a mile on the standard-to-slow surface. Eupator and Happy Banner, rated 84 and 83, are the obvious dangers, with Marsh Benham also needing respect in a competitive eleven-runner Class 5 field. This is a tight call, but A La Noche's upward trajectory gets the vote.
