RACING POST VERDICT
Buttermere Ridge is our selection at Galway, and his progressive profile is enough to prefer him over the top-rated Tai Tam Bay, who is only five pounds better on our figures. At 63 he sits just a pound behind La Tulipe Noire and a pound ahead of God Knows, so he is firmly in the thick of it without needing to improve a great deal, and an upward trend is a useful asset on heavy ground over seven furlongs. Tai Tam Bay is the obvious danger as the highest-rated runner, with La Tulipe Noire and God Knows also close enough to take advantage if our pick fails to progress again, though this looks a competitive contest.
