Sonoran heads our ratings on 82 and gets the nod over a competitive-looking 12-runner field at Dundalk, with a narrow two-pound edge over Glyndwr rather than any commanding superiority. That rating puts him a step ahead of Justenzia on 76 and Venetian on 75, and the bottom half of the field looks well short of this quartet. Glyndwr is the chief danger and sits right on his heels, while Justenzia and Venetian are close enough to take advantage if Sonoran is not fully tuned up over the eight furlongs. Still, Sonoran looks the most likely winner on balance, so he is our selection.
