Woodview Lad is the call on our figures, rated 112 and a full 13 lb better than Upton's Mighty Oak, which is a sizeable margin in a Class 5 contest over 20 furlongs on good ground at Southwell. That gap gives him plenty of leeway if he is not at his sharpest, and he is clearly ahead on merit over this two-and-a-half-mile trip. Upton's Mighty Oak is the chief danger, with My Boy Beasty and Pottersmattyeeehaa, both on 96, the next most likely to make it a race. Woodview Lad is our selection.
