American Mike is our selection for this Worcester contest, sitting clear on top of these figures at 150 and rated well above the rest of this seven-runner field. Miss Maverick and Skyjack Hijack, both on 126, look his most likely pursuers, with Billy Boi Blue also capable of firing into the finish on 125. On the balance of the figures, American Mike holds a clear advantage and is a confident selection.
Ebony Warrior could get the run of the race here. He’s already a course-and-distance winner and looks overpriced against a well-fancied favourite. For me, he’s the value play in the race.
Also keep a close eye on the market for Billy Boi Blue. He has some very strong back form and could be worth a small each-way saver, especially with bookmakers paying three places.
