Gorthill heads this 16-runner Downpatrick field on a rating that puts him a clear 14 points ahead of Our Zebo and Not So Serious, with the bulk of the field sitting well below him, and over two and a half miles on good ground he has the profile of a horse who should relish the test. Our Zebo and Not So Serious are the most credible dangers given their proximity in the ratings, while Full Noise cannot be entirely dismissed at a modest remove, but none of them has the edge on form that would make Gorthill’s position at the head of the assessments look anything other than deserved.
