Puppet Master holds a narrow edge at the head of the ratings in this six-runner affair at Punchestown over nine furlongs on good ground, and that marginal superiority, combined with whatever recent form has taken him to the top of the assessments, makes him the logical pick even if the race is far from a foregone conclusion. Minella Rockett is the most obvious danger, sitting just six pounds behind and capable of closing that gap if conditions suit, while Dial Me In and Queen Of The Bogs will also need to be respected in what looks a genuinely competitive heat. The unrated Golden Splendour is an unknown quantity and cannot be entirely dismissed. On balance, Puppet Master is our selection.
