Virtue Diligence is our selection for this 16-furlong Kempton contest, and we prefer him to the top-rated pair on a progressive profile and a fitness edge that should count in a tightly packed Class 5 on a standard-to-slow all-weather surface. He is only three pounds off Autumn’s Breeze and Gemmari on our figures, so a small step forward would put him right in the mix. Those two are narrowly ahead on paper, while Vilaine Verlaine is a pound further back and cannot be dismissed in such an even field.
