Free Solo heads our ratings at 66, a clear five pounds ahead of the nearest pursuers, and that edge is enough to make him the one to beat over eight furlongs on good ground at Thurles. The danger comes from La Tulipe Noire and John La Bear, both on 61, with Cisterna just behind on 60, so this is far from a gift in such a big field. Still, none of that trio can match his rating, and he looks best placed to cope with the competitive nature of the race. Free Solo is our selection.
