I’ve Got A Friend is the only runner in this Hexham field to carry a rating from us, a figure of 111, and that gives him a slight edge on what we know in a Class 4 over two miles on good ground. The other six, Clear The Way, Laser Des Mottes, Our Clive, Big Vik, The Gloves Are Off and Pether’s Daisy, are all unrated by us, so any of them could prove better than they look on paper. With nothing else to separate them, we side with the one whose ability we can actually measure, though confidence is low. Our selection is I’ve Got A Friend.
