Northern Ruler is our selection at Naas, and his progressive profile makes him the one to side with over Vlhova, who is rated just a point better on our figures at 80 to his 79. That is a narrow gap, and an improving horse over ten furlongs on soft ground looks the more likely to find extra. Vlhova is the obvious danger, with Senna’s Girl on 75 and Rhythm King on 72 the other two to take seriously in a competitive twelve-runner field. It is a tight call, but Northern Ruler gets the nod.
