Krak is our selection, and he looks the right call at Hereford over 20 furlongs on good to firm. He rates only 2 lb behind Department of War on our figures, but he arrives fitter, has the more solid book of form and is proven on these conditions, which is enough to tip the balance. Department of War is the chief danger as the narrowly top-rated runner, with Jaramillo and Donnie Azoff, both on 118, also in the mix. Krak gets the vote.
