Friday Horse Racing Tips –  Haydock Horse Racing Tips by Dan Stanton

We head to Haydock on Friday and, with soft conditions expected, it could be a day where stamina, race fitness and a bit of proven experience make all the difference. I’ve gone through the card and picked out a few that look overpriced or open to improvement.

13:45 Haydock – NEWSELLS PARK STUD FILLIES’ NOVICE STAKES (3)

As always in these types of races, if you’ve followed me for a while, you’ll know I like course form over breeding. You can be as good as anything on paper, but running green first time on a racecourse can cost you vital lengths. FASHION’S FANCY is my go-to here. She ran well behind the stable’s odds-on favourite on debut, but first time out she was super green. I expect her to come on a lot from that run and I’d rather be on her at 9/4 than the unexposed 2/1 favourite.

14:20 Haydock – OAKMERE HOMES SUPPORTING MACMILLAN EBF MAIDEN FILLIES’ STAKES (3)

Hugo Palmer’s JAZZ QUEEN looks to be improving with every run, and last time out she stayed on really well over 5f. The step up to 6f is likely to bring her along loads and the 9/4 at the time of writing looks a decent price.

14:55 Haydock – BRITISH STALLION STUDS EBF CECIL FRAIL STAKES (Listed) (1)

We have an absolute cracker of a Listed race here tomorrow and I’m hoping the Burke-trained HALF SOVEREIGN just didn’t like it out in France on her last two occasions. If Clifford Lee can bounce her out, I think she will stay further than the 6f, so she’s got every chance in these soft conditions. 15/2 with 4 places at Sky looks a great each-way play.

15:30 Haydock – OAKMERE HOMES TOGETHER FOR MACMILLAN EBF NOVICE STAKES (3)

TRIBAL APPEARANCE goes for last year’s winning jockey Billy Loughnane for trainers Dr Richard Newland & Jamie Insole. Went off 6/5 favourite on debut, but I thought the ground may have been too quick that day. I’m willing to take a risk that, on breeding, we will see a better horse on the soft ground, and 11/4 in this 4-runner race looks a win bet.

16:05 Haydock – OAKMERE HOMES RACING FOR MACMILLAN HANDICAP (5)

NORFLONDONFOREVER seemed to improve massively for the first-time tongue tie last time out on the AW. With some nice form in the book last year, finishing 4 lengths behind a 100-rated horse, you’d expect more to come now handicapping. After 3 runs for Fay Bramley, they may have finally got this horse right. Stepping up in trip tomorrow could bring out further improvement.

16:40 Haydock – racingtv.com HANDICAP (5)

CENTRAL COMMAND seemed a different animal last time out over a much longer trip, and although he buckled down with a furlong to go, I still think he did it a shade comfortably. He’s gone up 7lb, but second time in a handicap there is huge room for improvement on turf.

I think the soft going will really suit this horse as he seems like he’s up to a proper test.

17:50 Haydock – OAKMERE HOMES GREEN RIBBON HANDICAP (5)

SAGREMOR is really interesting here. There’s a few things they are trying — he’s up in trip for the first time, Oisin Murphy is booked, and they have the headgear on for the first time. It’s unlike David Menuisier to bring one over and not have a good go at it. I think this horse will appreciate the extra distance and maybe that’s what he needs to get his first win.

Bath Horse Racing Tips – Written by Dan Stanton

Bath looks a really interesting card tomorrow, with a few horses dropping to dangerous marks and others looking like the step up in trip or return to turf could unlock improvement. It’s the type of meeting where proven course form can count for plenty and there looks to be a few decent each-way angles throughout the day.

14:08 Bath – DOWNLOAD THE FAIRPLAY APP HANDICAP (Qualifier) (6)

MAN OF THE SEA looks a decent each-way bet here at 11/1, 4 places with Sky. This horse won over course and distance with today’s jockey onboard off a mark of 52. Although 5lb higher, I think he will go on the ground where I have question marks around a few, and should be there or thereabouts. Neil Mulholland trains locally, so I expect this to put in a good shift.

14:43 Bath – MJ CHURCH FILLIES’ RESTRICTED NOVICE STAKES (4)

SUPPLICATE for the Varian yard looks a fairly good thing here. I was impressed by her run last year and she’s been off the track for 170 days, but back in December she looked to be getting better the further she went. Up in trip here and I think there is a lot more to come.

15:18 Bath – WILTSHIRE AND BATH AIR AMBULANCE RACEDAY 15th JULY BRITISH EBF NOVICE STAKES (4)

Clive Cox’s horses seem bang in form and JAAN KI TUKRI is short enough here. It’s hard when it’s slim pickings and I’m not one for picking favourites, but this does look the type to win this fairly comfortably.

He ran really well behind Napa in a decent race at Newmarket last time out and I’d say this is a good race to get off the mark.

15:53 Bath – PRIX DE CHARLOTTE FILLIES’ HANDICAP (4)

Emma Lavelle sends one horse to Bath tomorrow and is on a hat-trick over course and distance with SILVER WRAITH. Even though she’s won her last two, she’s only gone up 5lb as she seems to just get the job done. SERAPHIM ANGEL also seems worth a look in the market considering he’s fallen to a winnable mark again.

16:28 Bath – BLACKMORE BUILD AND DESIGN HANDICAP (5)

I’m going to take a bit of a punt on David Evans’ horse GUERNSEY LADY. Although there is not much recent form to go on, I am interested in the form from May 2025 when he finished behind Havana Hurricane, who is now a 101-rated flat horse. GUERNSEY LADY races off 70 tomorrow and could be a great each-way play at the current odds of 12/1.

17:03 Bath – BLACKMORE BUILDING CONTRACTORS HANDICAP (Qualifier) (6) (D.I)

BIG TIME RASCAL has fallen to a career-low mark and there were signs of revival last time out on the AW. Now 6lb lower than his last winning mark on turf, it wouldn’t be a huge surprise to see Michael Attwater’s horse going very close here. At 9/1 I think this looks a great each-way play.

17:40 Bath – BLACKMORE BUILDING CONTRACTORS HANDICAP (Qualifier) (6) (D.II)

UP THE ANTI I tipped up two days ago and the run was too bad to be true. Reports said badly hampered and pulled up straight after. Now, if the horse came out of the race unharmed and does go tomorrow, I do think he is a good bet.

He’s fallen back down to his last winning mark and back into a 0-55. At 13/2 and 4 places, this seems ideal.

18:15 Bath – DOWNLOAD THE FAIRPLAY APP NOW HANDICAP (6)

EUTROPIA has won nicely twice at Bath on her last two runs and, even though she’s gone up 3lb since her latest win, the very talented Ashley Lewis takes 5lb off tomorrow.

TILANI is obviously a huge danger also going for the hat-trick, and ANTIQUITY may go well at bigger odds.

Goodwood Horse Racing Tips – Tips by Bryan Rogers

Goodwood looks a really competitive card with a nice mix of unexposed 2-year-olds, improving handicappers and a quality Listed race later on the card. A few of these races look deeper than they first appear, but there are definitely some horses that look ahead of their marks and others that could take a big step forward today.

13:57 Goodwood – SOIL ASSOCIATION 80th ANNIVERSARY CONDITIONS STAKES (2)

Tricky little 3-runner race to start the card and all have a very good chance on paper, but the verdict here goes to NIGHT IN VEGAS. In the race he won, he travelled really strongly and won well in the end, with the form of the race looking extremely hot. NIGHT IN VEGAS is possibly heading to Royal Ascot if he can win here today.

14:32 Goodwood – BRITISH STALLION STUDS EBF FILLIES’ NOVICE STAKES (4)

Very strong 2-year-old 5f race for race two and Richard Hughes’ LAZURITE will be very popular with punters. With that selection likely to go favourite and not loads of form to go on, we will be siding with the Karl Burke runner BLUSHROSE, who was an expensive purchase. The stable has started well with their 2-year-olds this season and have already had winners first time out.

15:07 Goodwood – TRACK RADIO HANDICAP (3)

I’m against the Josh & Gary Moore runner here as the stable is very quiet and I’ve a feeling the other market leader BAHADUR may be better on the AW and is maybe now high enough in the weights off a current mark of 90.

Emma Lavelle does well with her 2m flat runners, especially at Goodwood, and gets the vote here with ST MAWES. The latest run was very good, especially as he was a bit keen and probably needed that run after some time off. With that run now under the belt, ST MAWES can win this race.

15:42 Goodwood – BRITISH STALLION STUDS EBF FILLIES’ HANDICAP (3)

Strong-looking race for race four and plenty of winners will come out of this race over the next few months. QUEBELLA has some strong back form and off her current mark will be winning soon, but VENETIA looks one of the strongest chances of the day.

The form of her win reads well and off a mark of 81 I still make VENETIA very well handicapped. Only 3 starts ago VENETIA was beaten just 4 lengths by a now 106-rated horse. VENETIA can win this race well and looks a strong win bet.

16:17 Goodwood – FITZDARES FESTIVAL STAKES (Listed) (1)

The best race on the card and some serious horses on show. There are so many runners you can make a case for, but off a current mark of 105, INVOLVEMENT may be a lively outsider here and gets a strong each-way verdict.

INVOLVEMENT has beaten horses who are now rated much higher and can definitely run very close here at a nice price

Worcester Racing Tips – Written by Bryan Rogers

Worcester looks a really competitive evening card with a few lightly raced horses that could still be ahead of the handicapper, especially over fences and in the staying hurdle races later on. There are also a couple of runners returning from breaks that look ready to strike now conditions suit, and a few at bigger prices that could easily outrun their odds.

16:57 Worcester – COPYBET AND WORCESTER PARTNERS FOR 2026 HANDICAP CHASE (Qualifier) (5)

With pretty much all runners around the same level of form over the past 2 years, this looks like ALBA CRUZ’s race to lose. Yes, it’s a chase debut, but he’s the least exposed horse in the field and can easily be much better than the rest. I do feel off a mark of just 98 ALBA CRUZ can really start improving now and win this race if the jumping goes to plan.

17:32 Worcester – SAFER GAMBLING AT COPYBET HANDICAP CHASE (Qualifier) (4)

COUNTRY PARK fell last time over hurdles and would be a risk here, but definitely has the most ability in this race. With questions over the jumping though, Micky Bowen’s LERMOOS LEGEND can take advantage and win here.

LERMOOS LEGEND always runs well around the summer months and is still lurking on a nice mark of 114. The recent run after some time off would have the horse spot on for this and he looks ready to win again.

I would also mention ATREIDES, as he always looks like he’s going to win but somehow manages to throw it away. He could still run into a place.

18:06 Worcester – COPYBET OVERNIGHT BEST ODDS GUARANTEED OPEN NATIONAL HUNT FLAT (5)

National Hunt Flat race for race three and very little form to go on, so MOSSY MOON gets the verdict as he has some strong first-time-out winners in the pedigree and Alan King does well in these types of races.

18:41 Worcester – FEN COLLISON-HUGHES HAPPY 21st BIRTHDAY MAIDEN HURDLE (Qualifier) (4) (D.I)

Olly Murphy has two horses in here and we are going with the second string to run well. With question marks about the ground for a few of these, it’s worth taking a chance on EUSTACE GRENIER, who has some nice form and this lightly raced 5-year-old may surprise a few here and win.

19:41 Worcester – STEP INTO LUXURY WITH PURPLE GRANITE HANDICAP HURDLE (4)

SNOWING EVENING and TWIST OF FATE both look potentially well handicapped, but so does LIGHTFINGERED JACK and he gets the win verdict here.

LIGHTFINGERED JACK is a 7-year-old and has only run 4 times, so maybe the horse has had issues, but he comes from a strong jumping family and the 4 runs so far have shown very nice form. He may be much better than the rest of the field here, with the step up in trip really looking in his favour.

20:11 Worcester – COPYBET DAILY PROFIT BOOST HANDICAP HURDLE (5)

Before his previous run and win, I felt ICE JET was a stone ahead of the handicapper and the win on Tuesday proved that. SNAPIUS may rate the main danger, but to be honest ICE JET just needs to jump round to win this unless the run has come too quickly, but I very much doubt it.

20:41 Worcester – READ JOHNNY BURKE’S BLOG AT COPYBET HANDICAP HURDLE (5)

The David Pipe horse SACCARY will be popular with punters, but for me the most eye-catching runner here is FOND FAREWELL, who hated the soft ground last time but would have won the time before when well gambled and falling up the home straight when looking the likely winner.

On first shows this looks a cracking each-way bet.
