All racecards for Saturday 5th September
We said2nd of 7, beaten ½ at 100/30
ORMOLULU 7/2
PERSIAN SPIRIT is the only confirmed front-runner, and he is not our selection — and this is a track where that matters: front-runners here win 2.2 times their share of these races. An uncontested lead could be decisive, which is the risk to ours.
ORMOLULU at 7/2, Gemma Tutty with Conor Whiteley taking off 5lb, makes most appeal. He ran a big race off much the same mark, beaten 2.5L off 75 (2lb higher than today) on 9 July and was staying on at the finish last time.
The dangers are ANAISA at 20/1 (went close off this mark) and ZARINCA at 11/1 (on a falling mark).
