Horse Racing Tips Tuesday 26th May 2026
Bath Races by Dan Stanton
Bath looks a really tricky little card on Tuesday with a few low-grade handicaps where current form and track experience could count for plenty. There’s a couple of horses knocking hard on the door and a few interesting angles with claimers taking valuable weight off. As always around Bath, if you handle the track and get the trip well, you’ve got a massive chance.

Grace Harris’ RATING has been knocking at the door at Bath on his last two runs. The difference here could be Ashley Lewis taking off his 3lb claim, which is well worth using.
He was third last time out but only beaten half a length and you’d have to think 3lb lower means this goes very close.

I look at this race and think it’s hard to pick something with course form, which is normally what I like to go with, so I’m reluctantly going to put up a first-timer from the James Owen stable in ACCLAMATION STAR.
He’s £15 profit to a £1 level stakes on newcomers and this won’t have to be that good to win this.

Strange race this and you can make a case for literally every horse, but I’m going to have a gamble that OBSIDIAN DREAM is fit after a long layoff and wind surgery.
He is so lightly raced and won nicely around Bath back in September 2024. If the wind surgery has worked and he’s fit enough, he should have a shout.

CANDY WARHOL ran into a well-backed favourite two weeks ago, only going down by a length. I think being stuck on the rail didn’t help that day.
He runs off the same mark here with a claimer taking 3lb off and they are switching the headgear back to cheekpieces. The 7/2 opening show looks worth a bet to me.

A bad race to end the card with but I think MOHMENTOUS, who has won his last two starts, can keep the momentum going.
With Rossa Ryan onboard, who is flying at present, he has every chance to complete the hat-trick.
Redcar Racing Tips
Tips by Dan Stanton
Redcar looks a decent little card with a few progressive types stepping up in trip and some horses dropping back to very workable handicap marks. There’s also a couple of runners that shaped much better than the bare result last time out and, with the long straight at Redcar often suiting strong finishers, there could be some value throughout the afternoon.

BELLA LUCIA for Gemma Tutty wasn’t disgraced on debut and seemed to be getting the hang of things late on. The step up to 6f will be a real benefit and this filly does look progressive, so it would be no surprise to see a big run here.

There’s a big possibility that Conor Beasley could have a quick-fire double in the first two races here today. CHAMPION LAWMAN was staying on nicely on debut over a mile and the step up in trip tomorrow won’t be a bad thing at all.
I think in time he will want even further, but this race looks very winnable.

GAELIC APPROACH looks levels above this field. Maybe a hat-trick for Conor Beasley — stranger things have happened.

Clifford Lee is quite an eye-catching booking for Roger Fell, who has two in the race. NYMAN is now 2lb below his last winning mark and looking at the racecard this looks the type of race to try and get him back to winning ways.
Keep an eye on ELIGIBLE also at 33/1, as this horse is nearly back to his last winning handicap mark too.

LONG SHOT seemed unlucky last time out. The money came for him but he bumped into an unexposed type and wasn’t disgraced at all.
The sectionals were fairly decent and off the same mark tomorrow I think he could go one better. There looks to be plenty of pace on here, so you are going to want to stay the trip well. They are also trying blinkers on for the first time.

LADY BOUQUET is still on a low mark and considering she has won off this mark and also off 8lb higher, it feels like it’s only a matter of time before she goes in again.
Clifford Lee is an interesting booking and if the money comes, I think this could be a good thing.

Leicester Racing Tips
Written by Bryan Rogers
Leicester looks a really interesting card with plenty of lightly raced horses and a few runners that could improve massively now entering handicaps for the first time. There’s also some very well-bred types throughout the afternoon and a couple of horses that shaped much better than the bare result on recent runs. It could pay to side with the unexposed horses on this card, especially those stepping up in trip or returning with race fitness now behind them.
14:10 Leicester – BRITISH EBF MAIDEN STAKES (4)
2-year-old maiden to start the card and both VICTORY GOLD and LIBERTANGO are likely to prove well above average and very smart horses.
The verdict goes to VICTORY GOLD, who finished second at Ascot behind a smart rival and with that experience behind him can improve and take this opening contest.
14:40 Leicester – KUBE – LEICESTER’S PREMIER EXHIBITION VENUE SELLING STAKES (5)
There has already been plenty of experience for most of these 2-year-olds. The only runner lacking experience is ABRAHAMSEN and even with the good pedigree on his side, he may just need this first outing.
The win verdict goes to the Richard Hughes-trained PARADING, who should appreciate this step up in trip and looked to be getting the hang of things last time out.
15:10 Leicester – BRITISH EBF FILLIES’ NOVICE STAKES (4)
This is a really good race on paper with some excellent horses running in it.
The Frankel filly CROWNRIGHT gets the vote as after not settling last time out she still finished the race strongly and with that experience behind her can win here.

ESCAPE MAGIC has now got his three runs under his belt and has been given a mark of 49, which may mean he is now very well treated at the weights.
You may now see a big improvement and he gets the each-way verdict in a very open contest.

It’s not often horses only get put up 1lb for winning these days, so that latest success gives MYNA an excellent chance here.
The latest win also came over course and distance and I fully expect MYNA to go very close again.
16:40 Leicester – EVERY RACE LIVE ON RACING TV FILLIES’ HANDICAP (5)
Ed Walker’s FRANTIC may have needed her first run of the season but still ran very well to finish second.
With Frankel in the pedigree and racing off just a mark of 70, FRANTIC may have got in here on a very nice mark and can take this.
17:12 Leicester – NEXT MEETING MONDAY 8th JUNE HANDICAP (5)
ALICE DE CLARE has gone up 9lb for her latest win and as a likely short-priced favourite may be worth taking on here, especially with a few unexposed horses in the field.
PENTONVILLE has now been stepped up in trip for his handicap debut and may have got in lightly off a mark of 66. He can take this final race on the card for the brilliant Billy Loughnane.
Plumpton Horse Racing Tips
Written by Bryan Rogers
Plumpton looks a really interesting evening card with a few small-field races where tactics and jumping could make all the difference. There are also a couple of horses arriving in form at the right time of year and some that still look fairly treated off their current marks. Around Plumpton, track position and rhythm are vital, and a few of these look set up to run very big races.
17:37 Plumpton – KALM CLUB @ HURLANDS MAIDEN HURDLE (4)
Distance: 2m4f 116y
With the Gary & Josh Moore stable slightly out of form, this race looks set to go to KAMILLE AU KANADA, who ran very well in a Listed bumper and gets the win verdict here.
18:09 Plumpton – BRUCE HARDWICK THOROUGHBRED PUB IN POLEGATE CONDITIONAL JOCKEYS’ TRAINING SERIES HANDICAP HURDLE (Series Final) (4)
Distance: 2m4f 116y
Recent winner GOODWIN did it nicely last time out and his course form here is excellent.
With only three rivals to beat, GOODWIN can take this second race on the card.
18:39 Plumpton – KALM CLUB @ GRANGE FESTIVAL HANDICAP CHASE (4)
The Stratford winner CAPTAIN COOL did it nicely last time out and finished that race off very strongly.
With question marks over the rest of this small field and also concerns over some of their jumping, CAPTAIN COOL can strike again.
19:09 Plumpton – KALM CLUB @ PLUMPTON HANDICAP CHASE (4)
Three miles just looked slightly beyond CHER MONSIEUR last time out when running a very good second, but this drop back to 2m4f looks ideal.
With this race not looking the deepest, he gets a strong win verdict here.
19:39 Plumpton – KALM CLUB @ WELBORNE CAFE HANDICAP HURDLE (4)
This is the time of year SEA INVASION absolutely loves and he always seems to save his best for this stage of the season.
He should prove too good for the other four runners. SEA INVASION is still only rated 113 and has mixed it with much better horses in the past, so a strong bet is advised.
20:09 Plumpton – KALM CLUB – EVERYONE WELCOME HANDICAP HURDLE (5)
Off a mark of 95, I do wonder how GOODWIN FACE hasn’t managed to win yet because I believe there is plenty of ability there.
With that in mind, he can beat this field and begin improving on his handicap mark.
20:39 Plumpton – LADIES DAY AT SEASON OPENER OPEN NATIONAL HUNT FLAT (5)
A National Hunt Flat race finishes the card and Dan Skelton’s runner is likely to be a warm favourite.
With the race not looking deep and many of these likely to improve in time once getting a mark, the play is to side with Harry Skelton’s mount GETMYFRIEND.
