Pentraeth Subaru Handicap Chase (GBB Race)

Presentandcounting has placed in each of his last five starts and ran to form most recently, second beaten four and a half lengths in a handicap chase; he handles today’s distance and ground and connections have taken this race in each of the last two years. Country Park shaped with promise on his fencing debut at Worcester, doing best of those held up, and first-time cheekpieces make him interesting. Le Gentleman took a handicap here last time — the winning margin was boosted by a late faller but the performance was genuine — and a 7lb rise is not severe on his French promise.
