Juan Bermudez made all to land a handicap at Stratford last time by a length and a 3lb rise looks fair for a horse clearly in form over this trip on good ground; his front-running style suits the conditions. Playful Fox shapes as the main danger, with a shorter trip looking better suited after failing to stay the longer distance last time, while Uhtred Ragnarson brings solid credentials and an excusable off-day behind him. Juan Bermudez to make it back-to-back wins at the course.
Uhtred Ragnarson looks a cracking each-way selection here. He\’s much better than his latest run at Aintree suggests and that effort can probably be forgiven, as he may have needed the outing following a break and an earlier fall. Prior to that his form was fairly solid, and he\’s shown enough ability to be competitive off this mark. This doesn\’t look the strongest race and Alan King\’s runner has a great each-way chance.
