Hold Your Fort is our selection in this deep 11-runner Worcester heat, rated 121 and comfortably clear of the rest of the field on these figures. Spitalfield and Oneinthewell, on 107 and 104, look his closest pursuers, with Jefe Triunfo, rated 100, also capable of running a big race. Such a clear rating advantage makes Hold Your Fort a confident selection despite the size of the field.
Hold Your Fort races from a very low hurdles mark and could be well treated based on his chasing form, although those ratings don’t always transfer directly.
Instead, I’m siding with Iamcelestialgift, who is starting to look dangerously well handicapped and can run a big race at attractive each-way odds.
The other two worth keeping onside are Jefe Triunfo and Alderley Charlie, both of whom look capable of winning soon, but Iamcelestialgift gets the vote.
