Darkness is the one I’m siding with in this big handicap. He has won at Goodwood before and was staying on nicely at the finish last time, which is exactly what I want to see coming back here. The one worry is his run style around this track, so it isn’t without risk, but at 11/1 with three places I think the price more than makes up for that. Pellitory has gone close off this sort of mark and Rare Change is another course winner.
