Golden Knight is our selection for this Class 4 over today's 10f at Ascot, narrowly the top-rated on our figures and with a win in his recent form to back that up. Samuel Colt is the obvious rival on our numbers, just behind, while Gatehouse and Morbeh both arrive with wins of their own and cannot be dismissed. We side with Golden Knight with confidence, even allowing for a blank effort last time out.
Golden Knight catches the eye as one of the strongest selections on the card. His run at Royal Ascot was much better than the finishing position suggests after enduring a difficult race throughout, yet he still shaped with plenty of promise. His current handicap mark looks more than fair, and if building on that effort, he should go very close.
