Our selection is Country Park, a pound better than Gateau De Miel on our figures at 119, having won last time out with today's trip and going experience already banked. Gateau De Miel (118) is right behind him and has been admirably consistent, while Buddah Castle and Palamon — both on 117 — carry question marks of their own: a run of unseated efforts for one, a long absence for the other. Confidence in the selection is high — Country Park's rating edge may be slim in isolation, but he arrives with the fewest questions attached to his recent form.
I’m sure the step up in trip will really suit Ras Kassar, and I have the horse down as one of my main bets on the card.
Running from a mark of 108, his previous form ties in with a horse now rated 151 who went on to win a graded race at the Aintree Festival. That gives me a strong feeling Ras Kassar is very well treated at the weights.
