Loingseoir heads this fourteen-runner Navan mile on good-to-firm ground narrowly ahead of the field on our ratings, and with that edge there is a reasonable case for a bold showing over this trip. Cosmic Funk is the most threatening rival on a rating of 75 and cannot be dismissed, while Comfort Line and Sherekiya share a rating of 72 and will need to improve to bridge that gap. Confidence is medium rather than high, so a watching brief on Cosmic Funk in particular is sensible, but the overall profile points to Loingseoir as the one to be on.
COMFORT LINE is exactly the sort of horse I want to look at in this grade. He is now 7lb below the mark of 72 he won from in March last year and he was staying on at the finish last time. Adam Caffrey takes the ride for Adrian McGuinness and at 7/1 I think he has been given enough of a chance by the handicapper to be very interesting.
