RACING POST VERDICT

Sparkling Wine ran with real encouragement on her handicap debut, finishing second off a low weight and able to race off that same basement mark again here — speed in the pedigree, acts on good to soft over 5f and is expected to take another step forward. Jack Rabbit Slims has shown his best form at course and distance but ran too freely last time and the inconsistency is a known risk; Oasis Cover was competitive in stronger company last time and has no concerns about the trip. Sparkling Wine is our selection.

Our Expert Tip

OASIS COVER seems to be getting the hang of things on turf. She took a big step forward on her second start on grass when finishing runner-up, beaten just over a length by the favourite. She runs from the same mark of 59 and if she can improve again, she could prove very hard to beat in the lucky last.
