Wide-open but competitive, this mares' handicap sees Callin Baton Rouge head our figures on the strength of her consistent form, effective trip and going, and the fact she races below her last successful mark. Never Told Me and A Tickatickatiming are the next two in our rankings and must be respected, while Little Lady Lucy arrives in fine form after winning twice in recent starts and was narrowly denied on her previous visit here. Confidence is low in a field without a clear standout. Callin Baton Rouge is our selection.
I really feel Basilette is a strong each-way selection in the lucky last. On paper this looks a very open contest and I don\'t think it will take much winning. Basilette certainly has the ability, has already won over hurdles and arrives here fit from a couple of recent runs on the Flat. At the prices, she gets the each-way vote.
