RACING POST VERDICT

Southwell winner ROAD TO WEMBLEY is taken to defy his penalty, although Into Battle was of similar ability to him on the Flat.

Our Expert Tip

ROAD TO WEMBLEY won nicely last time out, but with a penalty to carry and questions about the strength of that race, the vote just goes to MASKARVEL. On paper, it looks very much like a two-horse race.

Rain cap will be all the rage in the betting, but again when isn\'t it. was 2/1 beaten fav last time out and essentially is 4lb worse off here, Im going to take an eachway gamble on BULLINGTON BRY switch stables last time out and well supported in the market, the 1st time blinkers were slapped on and seemed to do an ok job, I would prefer this horse to potentially get a bit more cover, he will stay 7F/1m and has the speed to tuck in if needed. the race is not great and if Jessica Macey can squeeze a bit more out of this horse on his 2nd run he could go close, of a career low marl and 4 places on offer at 15/2 happy to have an eachway play on this.
