Our Expert Tip

Ed Walker’s ASTRAZAR was very good last year winning his last 2 races. His opening handicap mark of 86 looked workable and on his reappearance on 17th April he showed a bit more than his finishing position of 9th of 14 suggests. He looked to be travelling very well 2 furlongs out, but the door closed as he went for a run up the rails. By then the bird had flown the nest and he was just hands and heels to the finish. I think he will prefer a bit more give in the ground and at 11/1 with 5 places on offer looks a cracking each-way bet.
