This would be a third Perth Gold Cup for Statuario but stablemate LIGHT N STRIKE could be interesting after a better run last time.
Duffle Coat could be a lively outsider at a big price after dropping 15lb in the ratings over the last 12 months. However, the Micky Bowen-trained Light N Strike looked as though he needed his recent comeback run and these days may appreciate slightly softer ground. With conditions likely to suit better, he gets the each-way vote.
