RACING POST VERDICT

A competitive handicap on the all-weather where recent course form carries obvious weight. Charmaine is the most consistent in the field, suited to this trip on any surface and with her connections holding a strong record in this race; she tops our figures and looks the one to beat. Fox Avatar, Naval Command and Assail each post solid credentials and form the main dangers, but Charmaine is the selection.

Rain cap will be all the rage in the betting, but again when isn\'t it. was 2/1 beaten fav last time out and essentially is 4lb worse off here, Im going to take an eachway gamble on BULLINGTON BRY switch stables last time out and well supported in the market, the 1st time blinkers were slapped on and seemed to do an ok job, I would prefer this horse to potentially get a bit more cover, he will stay 7F/1m and has the speed to tuck in if needed. the race is not great and if Jessica Macey can squeeze a bit more out of this horse on his 2nd run he could go close, of a career low marl and 4 places on offer at 15/2 happy to have an eachway play on this.
