There is very little solid form to assess in this contest, with plenty of the runners making their racecourse debuts. However, Captaincy showed enough promise on his first start at Leicester to suggest he can take a good step forward. Improvement looks almost guaranteed, and on the evidence of that debut he fully deserves to head the market and can justify favouritism.
