Magna Patch looks sure to be suited by this longer trip, his greenness over hurdles offset by the promise of a point placing and an attractive opening mark on handicap debut. Ballylicky Bay has been progressing steadily in this sphere and sets the standard as the main danger, while Barafundle Bay is worth respect at bigger odds. Magna Patch is our selection.
There was plenty of money around for Khalkeau Spigao at Fontwell last time and perhaps being only his second run in handicap company will bring about further improvement. This looks a very open contest, but he clearly has ability and gets the each-way vote.
