RACING POST VERDICT

Bayonetta heads our figures for this 20f handicap hurdle and has been consistent in recent starts, performing to her level last time over a shorter trip than she prefers; she has history over this distance and ground, and the step back up to a longer test strengthens her case. Lenko merits plenty of respect on his handicap debut — his starting figure appears generous given his maiden runs and going further should bring out more from him; King Kodiak came alive here last time over a shorter distance and could be even better served by today's longer test, while Fourofakind also rates in the frame. Bayonetta is our selection.

Our Expert Tip

This looks a fairly average race with several runners who don\'t find winning easy. Malangen is likely to ensure a good pace but has developed a frustrating habit of finding one too good. Instead, the vote goes to Sonyourastar, who makes his handicap debut and could be very well treated from his opening mark. Olly Murphy\'s runner looks the one with the most potential for improvement.
