RACING POST VERDICT

Dr Strangelove was just touched off at Goodwood last time, with a next-time winner only just behind him, and Oliver Cole's gelding returns just 1lb higher than on that occasion; proven at today's trip and conditions, our figures rate him clearly ahead of this field. Aspull has the profile to challenge on his best 7f form having struggled over further, while Supreme King steps back from a Salisbury success and Morte Point holds claims if returning to his previous level. Dr Strangelove is our selection.

Rain cap will be all the rage in the betting, but again when isn\'t it. was 2/1 beaten fav last time out and essentially is 4lb worse off here, Im going to take an eachway gamble on BULLINGTON BRY switch stables last time out and well supported in the market, the 1st time blinkers were slapped on and seemed to do an ok job, I would prefer this horse to potentially get a bit more cover, he will stay 7F/1m and has the speed to tuck in if needed. the race is not great and if Jessica Macey can squeeze a bit more out of this horse on his 2nd run he could go close, of a career low marl and 4 places on offer at 15/2 happy to have an eachway play on this.
