Golden Knight is our selection for this Class 4 over today's 10f at Ascot, narrowly the top-rated on our figures and with a win in his recent form to back that up. Samuel Colt is the obvious rival on our numbers, just behind, while Gatehouse and Morbeh both arrive with wins of their own and cannot be dismissed. We side with Golden Knight with confidence, even allowing for a blank effort last time out.

His run at Royal Ascot was much better than the finishing position suggests after enduring a difficult race throughout, yet he still shaped with plenty of promise. His current handicap mark looks more than fair, and if building on that effort, he should go very close.

Rain cap will be all the rage in the betting, but again when isn\'t it. was 2/1 beaten fav last time out and essentially is 4lb worse off here, Im going to take an eachway gamble on BULLINGTON BRY switch stables last time out and well supported in the market, the 1st time blinkers were slapped on and seemed to do an ok job, I would prefer this horse to potentially get a bit more cover, he will stay 7F/1m and has the speed to tuck in if needed. the race is not great and if Jessica Macey can squeeze a bit more out of this horse on his 2nd run he could go close, of a career low marl and 4 places on offer at 15/2 happy to have an eachway play on this.
