RACING POST VERDICT

Witness Stand tops our figures on 116 in this tightly-packed Chester Class 1 and gets the nod as our selection. Tiber Flow (110) and Holguin (108) both carry solid recent form and are the biggest dangers, with Myal also in the mix. It's a low-confidence verdict given how close this looks, but Witness Stand's clear edge on figures makes him the one to side with.

Rain cap will be all the rage in the betting, but again when isn\'t it. was 2/1 beaten fav last time out and essentially is 4lb worse off here, Im going to take an eachway gamble on BULLINGTON BRY switch stables last time out and well supported in the market, the 1st time blinkers were slapped on and seemed to do an ok job, I would prefer this horse to potentially get a bit more cover, he will stay 7F/1m and has the speed to tuck in if needed. the race is not great and if Jessica Macey can squeeze a bit more out of this horse on his 2nd run he could go close, of a career low marl and 4 places on offer at 15/2 happy to have an eachway play on this.
