RACING POST VERDICT

Statuario is our selection at Perth, the highest-rated of these seven runners on our figures at 133 to the field's next-best 128. Bleu d'Enfer, Parisencore and Grand Clermont are the chief dangers, all rated within a few pounds of each other. It's a competitive Class 3 over three miles on good ground, but the rating margin gives us real confidence in Statuario.

Rain cap will be all the rage in the betting, but again when isn\'t it. was 2/1 beaten fav last time out and essentially is 4lb worse off here, Im going to take an eachway gamble on BULLINGTON BRY switch stables last time out and well supported in the market, the 1st time blinkers were slapped on and seemed to do an ok job, I would prefer this horse to potentially get a bit more cover, he will stay 7F/1m and has the speed to tuck in if needed. the race is not great and if Jessica Macey can squeeze a bit more out of this horse on his 2nd run he could go close, of a career low marl and 4 places on offer at 15/2 happy to have an eachway play on this.
