Golden Orbit is our selection in this three-runner race at Lingfield, holding a clear rating advantage over Probation and Rajendra despite an underwhelming, unplaced run last time out. She won three starts back and remains the one to beat on our figures, though that recent below-par effort keeps confidence low. Probation, third last time out having been fourth before that, is the more obvious danger, with Rajendra, without a win in four runs, harder to fancy over today's twelve furlongs.
Just three runners go to post in the opener and Probation gets the vote. He runs from a mark of 70, but the booking of the excellent Alexandra Egan, who takes a valuable 7lb off, makes him look very well treated. That claim could prove decisive and he looks tough to beat.
