Jack Sprat heads this competitive ten-runner Class 5 over 21f at Cartmel on a rating of 100, though it is a tight contest with little between the principals. El Muchacho, only two pounds behind on 98, is the most obvious danger, while Imperial Rule (91) and Blazing Court (88) both have claims of their own. With confidence only medium given how close these figures run, Jack Sprat remains the selection, but this looks a race where the form book could easily be turned upside down.
JACK SPRAT has only had a handful of starts over fences but ran very well at this course recently.
With that run under the horse’s belt, there could be plenty more improvement to come, and JACK SPRAT remains on a very workable handicap mark.
At the early prices, JACK SPRAT looks like good each-way value in the final race on the card.
