RACING POST VERDICT

Go Victor is our selection, preferred over the head of our ratings on a progressive profile rather than sheer figures, sitting only three pounds behind Starsong at the top of an eleven-runner field. Starsong, Eldeyaar and Bullington Bry all rate within a pound of one another and stand out as the chief dangers in this Pontefract sprint on good to firm. It's a competitive race and this is a low-confidence verdict, but Go Victor's overall profile gives him the nod ahead of that more highly rated trio.

Our Expert Tip

Rain cap will be all the rage in the betting, but again when isn\'t it. was 2/1 beaten fav last time out and essentially is 4lb worse off here, Im going to take an eachway gamble on BULLINGTON BRY switch stables last time out and well supported in the market, the 1st time blinkers were slapped on and seemed to do an ok job, I would prefer this horse to potentially get a bit more cover, he will stay 7F/1m and has the speed to tuck in if needed. the race is not great and if Jessica Macey can squeeze a bit more out of this horse on his 2nd run he could go close, of a career low marl and 4 places on offer at 15/2 happy to have an eachway play on this.
