PERCY'S LAD is the only confirmed front-runner, and he is not our selection — and this is a track where that matters: front-runners here win 2.4 times their share of these races. An uncontested lead could be decisive, which is the risk to ours.

NIKOVO at 8/1, Michael Herrington and Oisin Murphy, is the one I keep coming back to. He was only just denied off a similar mark, beaten 0.25L off 91 on 21 August 2025, won last time out and comes from a yard in good heart at 23%.

The one worry is run style against this track.
