Machete Beach is our selection in this Class 4 over sixteen furlongs at Uttoxeter, preferred to the head of the weights on a fitness edge and a progressive recent profile. Romany Brown rates highest of the six on our figures and remains the one to beat, with Ip Up and King Ulanda both matching our selection’s figure just behind. Four of the six are separated by only a handful of pounds, so this is a medium-confidence verdict, but Machete Beach’s improving profile gets the nod.
Ask A Sainte disappointed when beaten at odds-on last time, but the drop back in trip should suit much better.
However, at the prices, the value lies with Lp Up. He won well last time out and should get the run of the race here, making him the value selection in the win market.
