First Legion is our selection here, and he makes appeal on a progressive profile that suggests there is more to come, even though he is rated 96 and sits five pounds behind the top-rated Alfa Kellenic on our figures. That gap is a fair one to overcome in a competitive 14-runner Class 3 contest at Southwell, particularly with the trend pointing the right way for him. Alfa Kellenic is the chief danger as the top-rated runner, with Asuka a few pounds further back on 98 and Yorkshire level with our pick on 96. This is a tight and open contest, but First Legion’s upward trajectory makes him the one to side with.
