Distillate gets the vote in this 13-runner Southwell 7f contest, and our rating of 59 leaves her just two pounds behind the top-rated Edmond Halley on 61. We still prefer her because her profile is progressive, she holds a fitness edge, and the clock backs up her form. Edmond Halley is the chief danger given his narrow rating advantage, with Ramon di Loria level with our pick on 59 and Mister Sky Blue two pounds back on 57 also needing to be respected. In a competitive Class 6 field with little to separate the principals, the progressive Distillate is the one to side with.
