Desert Falcon is our selection for this 14-runner Southwell sprint, and his progressive profile is what sets him apart in a competitive Class 3. He rates 99 on our figures, just four pounds behind the top-rated Hammer The Hammer on 103, and the upward trajectory makes him the more appealing proposition at this level than the top-rated rival. Hammer The Hammer is the chief danger given his rating, with Purosangue on 98 and So Darn Hot on 95 also firmly in the picture, so this is far from a straightforward task. Even so, Desert Falcon’s improvement can carry him past a rival with the higher figure.
