ATREIDES at 12/1, Neil Mulholland with Mr Laurie Gallacher taking off 10lb, just about gets the nod. He has already won around this track.
DOWNTOWN NASHVILLE at 7/2, Olly Murphy and Sean Bowen, looks the most likely of these. He was staying on at the finish last time.
OF CORSE I CAN at 7/2, Neil Mulholland with Bradley Harris taking off 3lb, is the one I would side with. He has had 4 of his last 4 starts on the wrong trip and ground, back to 26f today where he wins and his mark is 6lb lower for it and knows how to win round here.
The one worry is weakened last time.
The dangers are GATA BAN at 7/4 (a course winner) and EDGEWELL at 4/1 (went close off this mark).
MOTAZZEN at 12/1, Henrietta C Knight and Brendan Powell, is the one I make it. He won by 10 lengths and was raised only 2lb for it, leaving 4lb in hand and has already won round this track 3 times.
The dangers are START AGAIN at 20/1 and NO MORE BOLERO at 5/4 (staying on last time).
MIDNIGHT JEWEL at 1/1, Charlie Longsdon and James Bowen, looks the one to be on. He races off a mark 5lb below the 109 it won from back in September 2025 and is a 4 times-winner over this course.
The one worry is weakened last time.
The main danger is IMPERIAL BEDE at 5/2 (went close off this mark).
Non-runners: Jiair Madrik.
A hard race to weigh up with most of these unexposed, so the yard and the booking count for more than the form book.
DELULU gets the vote at 4/9 for Dan Skelton, ridden by Harry Skelton. Dan Skelton is running at 33% over the past fortnight, and Harry Skelton is a 21% rider.
The dangers are LADY CHAUNTEE at 11/2 and UPTOYOURSELVES at 8/1.
York
A tricky one to unpick — most of these have barely been seen, so the stable and the booking matter more than the figures.
FIVE YEARS gets the vote at 50/1 for K. R. Burke, ridden by Sam James. K. R. Burke is running at 26% over the past fortnight.
The dangers are IZUBA at 11/8 and GHOST RAIDER at 7/2.
MANAGING DIRECTOR is the only confirmed front-runner, and he is not our selection — and this is a track where that matters: front-runners here win 3.2 times their share of these races. An uncontested lead could be decisive, which is the risk to ours.
COPPER KNIGHT at 22/1, Tim Easterby and David Allan, is the standout, and this is exactly the sort of race to find one. He races off a mark 5lb below the 79 it won from in May and is a 7 times-winner over this course.
The one worry is weakened last time.
The dangers are HARB at 10/1 (well handicapped) and ORIENTAL PRINCE at 18/1 (well handicapped).
Non-runners: Ventura Express.
ROCK N ROLL PINKIE at 28/1, Ivan Furtado and Silvestre De Sousa, is the one I would be with. He races off a mark 3lb below the 80 it won from back in September 2025, has won here twice and has the right side of the draw.
The one worry is run style against this track and yard out of form.
The dangers are HIGH FIBRE at 3/1 (on a falling mark) and MOON CHIME at 7/1 (on a falling mark).
Non-runners: Gibside.
HAVE SECRET at 33/1, Richard & Peter Fahey and Oisin Orr, is the one I keep coming back to. He won by 2.25 lengths and escapes a penalty, leaving 3.4lb in hand and has the right side of the draw.
The dangers are DOUBLE PARKED at 14/1 (a course winner) and DARK MOON RISING at 12/1 (a course winner).
Non-runners: Noble Horizon.
REGIONAL is the only confirmed front-runner, and he is not our selection — and this is a track where that matters: front-runners here win 3.2 times their share of these races. An uncontested lead could be decisive, which is the risk to ours.
SPYCATCHER at 8/1, K. R. Burke and Clifford Lee, is the one — exactly the sort of race we are looking for. He won by 2.75 lengths and was raised only 1lb for it, leaving 5.9lb in hand, has the right side of the draw and comes from a yard in good heart at 26%.
The one worry is run style against this track.
The dangers are BEHIKE at 4/1 (won with plenty in hand) and AMERICA QUEEN at 9/2 (went close off this mark).
NORTHERN EXPRESS at 9/2, Michael Dods and Connor Beasley, is the one that stands out. He has won here 4 times and drops in grade after running 3rd in a Class 2, beaten 0.75L, drops to Class 3.
The dangers are BOBBY BENNU at 13/2 (went close off this mark) and OUR HAVANA at 40/1 (a course winner).
3 of these want to be on the pace, which usually means they go too quick and it falls to something coming from behind.
EMPIRESTATEOFMIND at 70/1, John & Sean Quinn and Jack Dace, is the standout, and this is exactly the sort of race to find one. He races off a mark 20lb below the 87 it won from back in October 2025, has already won around this track and has the right side of the draw.
